Narayanrao Peshwa Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Shrimant Narayanrao Peshwa (1755–1773), born on August 10. He was the 5th hereditary Peshwa (and 10th Peshwa overall) of the Maratha Empire, whose brief and tragic tenure remains one of the most poignant chapters in Maratha history.
