Gopal Kala (also spelled Gopalkala) refers to both the traditional sacred food preparation (Prasad) and the festive ritual celebrated on the day following Krishna Janmashtami (Gokulashtami). It is most famously celebrated across Maharashtra through the grand public spectacle of Dahi Handi.
