Aja Ekadashi (also known as Annada Ekadashi) is a sacred fast observed on the 11th day (Ekadashi) of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada (August–September). Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, devotees worship him on this day in his Hrishikesha form to seek liberation from past sins and negative karma.
